Getting Colder

Decided to take my frozen self down a crazy trail I would normally never go on.

OK, so the trail is not crazy to most mountain bikers, but to me it was. The wind was 10-20mph and the temp was 21 degrees F when I left. It felt a little warmer here at Hartman's. The park was nearly empty. Saw a walker and some cars, but that was it. My trusty root beer float 29er spun through the kitty litter and over the rocks.

Not sure where I lost the trail in here, but somewhere soon after this picture I was looking over rocks and could not see a trail. I went down a big slab and then walked over sandy, ledgey rock. I didn't see the trail, so I walked up a step rocky section.

And out past the trailhead. I guess next time I will have to go down from the other trailhead to see where I missed the trail. Maybe. The rest of the ride was smooth and fun. The ride home was really cold. I guess this is really the first ride where my face was stinging on the way out. I know there are many  more to come before we see warm here in Gunny.
