Fantastic Day

When I left the house I was sure what to expect from my back and ankle, but once I got to the trail and started up the stiffness lifted enough. I only had to walk 3x's up Jacks which is far better than it's been in some time.
I didn't have the camera, but what stuck out in my mind as I ran was probably better than the camera would have caputured.
The snow was like multi-colored glitter that cushion my steps. I focused on trying not to push off the foot too hard so I could keep running. Today this method worked for quite some time. I even went on a snowy trail and trudged up and down and around. It felt so great to be able to move about without the shooting pain in my ankle the stiffness in my back. It was not completely gone, but it was so much better.
Once I reached the main road I felt like I had accomplished something and took that back down under the sunny skies. The clouds were circling the area, but the first ring was up past Crested Butte. I wanted to keep running to keep that feeling.  I knew better though. I headed back down the trail to the car with the chance to complete an entire run with no major pain and a big smile on my face.
As I drove home the pictures from the run ran through my head and warmed my face.
This is the only way I can share that great feeling as it is better shared than kept inside.
